Watch the video on KTVL.com and read the transcript here:
Nearly 100 students from all over the state got a taste of what college would be like.

This week students lived on the Southern Oregon University campus, took classes and talked with counselors about how to apply to school

Organizers say they'd like to see more Latinos in the classroom.

"From one hundred kids 50 percent don't graduate high school and from that 50 percent go on to college," Program Director Juanita Ephraim said.

Students say its a fun way to get a glimpse of college while furthering their education.

"My parents didn't get to go to college and I am curious to see college life. I want to be successful," student Alex Rodriguez said.

The goal is to get more students to go to college.
